ChannelUP ("the App") is a live TV guide application for LG webOS TVs, developed by LevelitUP Tech ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the App accesses, how it is used, and your rights.
ChannelUP does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. We do not operate any backend infrastructure that receives data from your TV. Specifically:
The App stores the following data locally on your LG TV using webOS local storage (localStorage and db8):
This data never leaves your TV and is deleted if you uninstall the App.
ChannelUP communicates over your home network and the internet solely for its core functionality:
api.hdhomerun.com (operated by Silicondust) to retrieve program guide data. This is the same API used by official HDHomeRun applications. We do not operate this service and refer you to Silicondust's privacy policy for details on their data practices.discover.hdhomerun.com (operated by Silicondust) to locate your tuner.The App does not contact any servers operated by LevelitUP Tech during normal operation.
The App includes an optional diagnostic submission feature in its debug overlay. If you choose to send a diagnostic report, it will contain:
Diagnostic reports are sent to a LevelitUP Tech endpoint only when you explicitly initiate the submission. They do not contain personally identifiable information and are used solely for debugging and improving the App.
The App does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or social media services. The only third-party service contacted is the HDHomeRun cloud API operated by Silicondust, as described above.
The App does not knowingly collect any data from children. Since the App does not collect personal data from any user, no age-specific data handling applies.
We may update this policy if the App's data practices change. The updated policy will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date.
